Losing any of your items can be stressful and our staff will do their best to help reunite you with your items.

Any items that are found are handed into the Information Centre and logged in our lost item database. Items can take 24-48 hours to be logged and are kept for three months. Any items not claimed after this time will be disposed of appropriately.

To contact our lost property team please call 01292 511000 and select option 3 or use our Contact Us form.

Website enquiries will be responded to within 72 hours.

If your item is located at the airport, we ask passengers to collect it personally. In some cases, we may be able to assist with courier collection if arranged by the person who lost the item. However, we cannot guarantee our team will be available at the courier’s collection time and there may be an admin fee for this service.

Any passports handed to lost property are given directly to Police Scotland to protect the identity of the passenger. We do not record lost passports.

If you lost your item on the aircraft please check with the arrival airport’s lost property service.

Our lost property team are available to help with any queries between the following times:

  • April until October – 10:00 until 17:00 (Monday to Friday)
  • November until March – 10:00 until 17:00 (Monday, Thursday and Friday only)

Lost baggage

Our team ensure that your items are handled with care, however, in some instances, accidents may occur and baggage can be misplaced.
Lost baggage must be reported to the Information Centre, located in the main terminal building, before leaving the airport. Our Information Centre is manned for all departing and arriving flights.

Our team will give you a Property Irregularity Report (PIR), which will include a 10-character file reference, which will allow you to verify if there is any update on the tracing of your bag.
