Baggage allowances

Baggage allowances are determined by airlines and will depend on factors such as fare paid, class, route, aircraft type, government regulations, and the airline’s own company, commercial and health and safety policies.

Passengers are advised to verify baggage allowances with the airline when booking their ticket to avoid confusion or complications at the airport.

Ryanair’s baggage policy can be found on their website

There are also a number of security considerations when packing your baggage. Please ensure that you familiarise yourself with these ahead of travelling to avoid any issues at the airport.

Outsized baggage

Outsized baggage

Passengers should advise and pre-book with their airline any outsized baggage items including but not limited to – sports equipment, baby equipment and music equipment.
Our outsize baggage drop area is conveniently located to the right hand side of our check-in desks, passengers should go to the check-in desks before going to outsized baggage.

Lost/Damaged Baggage

Lost/Damaged Baggage

Our team ensure that your items are handled with care, however, in some instances, accidents may occur and baggage can be misplaced or damaged.
Lost or damaged baggage must be reported to the Information Centre, located in the main terminal building, before leaving the airport. Our Information Centre is manned for all departing and arriving flights.

Baggage tips:

  • Ensure that you pack your bag and don’t allow anyone to tamper with it.
  • It is recommended that you clearly label your bag with your name, contact details and destination information.
  • Never leave your baggage or personal items unattended in the airport, this is a security risk and your items may be removed or destroyed.
  • Do not pack any sharp or restricted items in your hand luggage. Full guidance on what can be taken in hand luggage can be found here.
