In the past year, we have delivered more ‘fabric first’ infrastructure upgrade projects and are progressing solar-energy investments, both roof and ground-mounted, as well as other green energy opportunities.
We are also working on supporting the change to sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to establish the Airport as a key supply point for SAF in Scotland.
Glasgow Prestwick Airport is on track to exceed its 2030 carbon reduction target of 50% with a projected 59% reduction. We are in the process of transitioning servies to carbon neutral alternatives and aim to achieve electricity self sufficiency.
We are also working with airlines and partners to support their net zero targets.
