It was a difficult year in 2018 for team members at Glasgow Prestwick Airport when they sadly

experienced the loss of three of their dear colleagues. In their memory, the Airport Employee Charity Fund have now donated to three charities chosen by the families.

Every month money from employees who have signed up, donate into the Charity and Fundraising fund. Money raised within the fund is then donated to charities of the employee’s choice. A total of c£2000 was raised with each charity receiving £667.

The three charities receiving the donations were Scottish Fire and Rescue Service Family Support Trust, Ayrshire Cancer Support and Heart Start Ayrshire and Arran.

Glasgow Prestwick’s Charity and Fundraising Committee Chair, Moira Kelly said;

“We are delighted that we can donate funds to Scottish Fire and Rescue Service Family Support Trust, Ayrshire Cancer Support and Heart Start Ayrshire and Arran to help them continue to deliver their, much needed, services in our communities. It also means a great deal that these charities were chosen by the families of the three colleagues we sadly lost in 2018.

“I would like to say a big thank you to all our employees who donate into this fund. With their support, we’ve been able to donate to these wonderful charities in memory of our colleagues.
