Jules Matteoni – Chief Executive Officer

Jules Matteoni was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Glasgow Prestwick Airport on 1 July 2026, following more than three decades of service at the airport.

Joining the airport in 1994 as a member of the Airport Fire Service, Jules has progressed through a range of senior operational leadership roles, overseeing Passenger Handling, Ground Services, Security, Engineering, Airfield Operations, Air Traffic Control and regulatory compliance.

Alongside his operational leadership, Jules has played a key role in developing the airport’s international cargo business, helping to strengthen commercial relationships with airline partners, customers and government stakeholders. His leadership has been instrumental in the airport’s growth as a leading UK gateway for international cargo and e-commerce, particularly through the development of strong trade links with China.

As Chief Executive Officer, Jules is focused on building on this success by driving sustainable growth, strengthening international partnerships and delivering operational excellence.

Sonia Rafferty – Human Resources Director

A highly- proficient leader with extensive experience in Human Resources at a senior management level across the aviation and manufacturing sectors since 1977. Sonia is accountable for Human Resources, People Development, Occupational Health, Data Protection, FOI and Records Information Management.
Sonia has led Human Resources at the Airport since 2000 and in this time she successfully led staff through periods of significant change. Testament to this is the 0.6% staff turnover rate and 50% with more than 10 years’ service.

Sonia is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personal Development (CIPD) with a qualification from Strathclyde University. Sonia also is a qualified paralegal in employment law, has a Diploma in Neuro Linguistic Programming and a qualification in train the trainer.

Zoe Kilpatrick – Commercial Director

An experienced commercial manager, Zoe joined Glasgow Prestwick Airport having spent more than 15 years working for UK PLCs operating in the FMCG sector.

Whilst at Cadbury and PZ Cussons, Zoe held various senior positions within sales and marketing, developing the commercial strategy for large brands, delivering business critical projects and managing customer relationships.

More recently Zoe worked for South Ayrshire Council, where she was part of a small team developing the Ayrshire Growth Deal proposition and, more broadly, the development of aerospace and space activities at Prestwick.

Sheena Beckwith – Chief Financial Officer

Sheena is a Chartered Accountant with extensive board-level experience in financial and general management, strategic planning, corporate transactions and project management in private equity-backed, public and private companies.

She has executed financial strategies including M&A, MBO, AIM IPO and P2P – delivering value, growth and securing debt refinancing. With a proven track record of developing cultures of effective financial controls, Sheena applies a critical eye to rigorous cost and cash management.

Sheena returned to Glasgow Prestwick Airport in January 2025, more than 20 years after she was previously Finance Director at the airport.
