As a Public Corporation, Glasgow Prestwick Airport is subject to the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 and the related Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004.

The legislation provides a general ‘right of access’ to much of the recorded information held by Glasgow Prestwick Airport. The intention is to ensure greater openness and accountability by Glasgow Prestwick Airport, who will not restrict access to information unless a statutory exemption applies.

Glasgow Prestwick Airport routinely publishes information that is publicly available via the Publication Scheme. If the requested information relates to an individual, the Data Protection Act (DPA) may apply.
