Air traffic control
Glasgow Prestwick Airport manages air traffic services for all airspace up to 6,000 feet and 42 nautical miles of the airport – handling 22,924 flights each year.
We offer 24 hour approach radar service with secondary surveillance radar.
Our experienced air traffic controllers work closely with handling and dispatch colleagues to ensure that our customers are able to meet their flight schedules.
In 2015, 94.4 per cent of flights from Glasgow Prestwick Airport were on time.
The airport also benefits from reasonably clear airspace, making it ideal for training and circuits, which our air traffic control are experienced in facilitating.
