Situated on the beautiful coastline of Ayrshire, Glasgow Prestwick Airport is a 24 hours 7 days a week operational Airport. Owned by the Scottish Government since 2013, we are now entering a new phase of our history led by a new non-executive board and executive team. We are also in the process of recruiting for a number of new key roles to assist in the development of the airport. This newly formed role will be accountable to the Business Development Director with responsibility for identifying and developing new route opportunities.
The key accountabilities will be to:
- Support the Business Development Director in securing new airline passenger business;
- Increase the level of timely business information and intelligence relating to the global passenger airline and charter industries;
- Proactively search for and analyse opportunities for driving growth in passenger numbers through Glasgow Prestwick Airport;
- Identify key target passenger airline/charter customers and prepare comprehensive support analysis and detailed customer proposals for each;
- Provide support to the BD Director at global airline conferences and present detailed proposals to potential airline customers where required;
- Maintain and develop the GPA airline customer database and provide comprehensive monthly business development updates to the executive team;
- Provide analytical support to the wider Business Development team.
This role would likely suit someone who has at least three years’ experience in aviation route development. For more information please refer to the RDM Personal Specification
