Ryanair, Europe’s No 1 airline, has launched its Glasgow Prestwick Airport winter 2016 schedule, with three new winter services from Glasgow Prestwick to Barcelona, Faro and Malta.

Ryanair’s winter 2016 Glasgow schedule from Glasgow Prestwick Airport will deliver:

• Three new winter services to Barcelona (3 weekly), Faro (2 weekly) and Malta (1 weekly)
• Nine routes including: Alicante, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Malaga
• More flights to Tenerife (4 weekly)

Richard Jenner, Glasgow Prestwick Airport Chief Executive, said:

“Glasgow Prestwick Airport has had a long standing commercial relationship with Ryanair for many years and we welcome their ongoing commitment through their announcement of additional flights today. We had an uplift in passenger numbers in December 2015 and January 2016 on figures for the same months the previous year. The announcement of these additional flights means that this trend is set to continue. Our new Business Development Director, Mike Stewart, will be looking to further develop our relationship with Ryanair and other passenger airlines.

“Flights departing from Glasgow Prestwick Airport fill up fast and passengers tell us that they enjoy travelling through our airport -our customer satisfaction with their airport experience sits steadily above 90% so we are confident that these additional flights will prove to be popular.”

Ryanair’s Chief Marketing Officer, Kenny Jacobs said:

“To celebrate the launch of our Glasgow winter 2016 schedule, we are releasing 100,000 seats for sale across our European network from just £19.99, which are available for booking until Thursday (25 Feb). Since these amazing low prices will be snapped up quickly, customers should log onto www.ryanair.com and avoid missing out.”
