In the terminal
We work hard to make all our services as accessible as possible.
Access to the terminal building is via wide automatic doors. Free assistance is available to / from the Terminal Short Stay – Car Park 1 & 2, railway station, bus stop or taxi rank.
Wheelchairs, including self-propelling, are available free of charge to assist you in moving around the airport terminal. The wheelchair collection point is in the main concourse, in front of the check-in desks.
Reserved seating areas
There are two reserved seating areas in the airport terminal:
- One before security at the information centre (next to the check-in desks) for use by all passengers requiring special assistance.
- One after security (next to the Departure Gates) in the departure lounge.
There are a number of unisex accessible toilets in the airport terminal.
It is highly likely that wheelchair users will activate the body scanner metal detector which will result in a hand search of the wheelchair and the passenger by a security officer. If you prefer, you can ask to be searched in private, away from the main passenger security check point area.
Shopping and Eating
All facilities are accessible and staff in every outlet are trained to assist customers needing further assistance.
