Cambrils serves up the best of coast and inland in the same "dish", a twofold flavour which makes it the areas's culinary capital. Cambrils is also widely known for its officially-recognised family and sports activities- beaches, water sports, shopping, historical heritage, fishing port and other postcard-like beauty spots that can be visited on foot or by bike.
La Pineda Platja is a family tourist town choc-a-bloc wiht attractions for everyone. Framed against teh backdrop of the gigantic roller coaster of PortAventura, Shambhala, la Pineda featurs several recreational areas, a water park with a dolphinarium, golf area in the theme resort and a full cultural programme that segues into the inside of the municipality, to Vila-seca.
Salou is the tourist capital of the Costa Dorada by virtue of its track record and hotel capacity, well known for its beaches and shallow, crystal-clear water, busy night life and recreational offer. It is also endorsed by the official Family and Sports Tourism Destination quality seals and boasts a comprehensive programme of traditions and festivities, and a vibrant shopping area (with a Tax Free point until the 15th of October). Salou's other great attraction is PortAventua, southern Europe's most important theme park.
