Corporate Information

Glasgow Prestwick Airport is wholly owned by the Scottish Government.

In October 2013 The Scottish Government acquired Glasgow Prestwick Airport. 

  • The initial business plan includes repositioning capital investments focussed on delivering enhanced passenger facilities.
  • The Scottish Government's investment in Glasgow Prestwick has been made on a commercial basis with a market rate of return expected in the mid to long term

Freedom of Information

As a Public Corporation, Glasgow Prestwick Airport is subject to the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 and the related Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004. The legislation provides a general 'right of access' to much of the recorded information held by Glasgow Prestwick Airport . The intention is to ensure greater openness and accountability by GPA, who will not restrict access to information unless a statutory exemption applies. GPA routinely publishes information which is publicly available via the Publication Scheme. If the requested information relates to an individual, the Data Protection Act (DPA) may apply.
